The Roarbeast brand name will house avatars, accessories, tools, toys, and other creations by Stickman and associates.

Roarbeast was officially created on July 11th, 2012. It was established to have a name of origin for the creations of Stickman Ingmann and associates.

It exists as a company and a community group within the Second Life platform.

Goals

It's important to have a goal or purpose to strive for. Without one, the ethics and details of any project can become confused as the purpose blows in the wind.

Roarbeast focuses on the following goals:

1. Make Awesome.

Our first and foremost goal is to make sure that whatever we make is the highest quality we can make it. If we inspire others and raise the bar, we're doing it right.

2. Share Knowledge.

When given the choice of dumbing something useful down or hiding behind public ignorance, we will seek to educate and enlighten others. This does not mean making things unnecessarily complex, but it does mean introducing people to new concepts, ideas, and methods of thinking.

3. Provide Support.

If you bought it, we want to make sure you get your money's worth. That means helping you get it working if there's a problem. It also means giving you advice and ideas if you want to make a custom mod, add-on, or other tool.

Tenets

While our goals are what we do, our tenets are our principles we live by. Whenever we make an avatar, these are the things we spent the most time focusing on. When forced to make a tough decision, we examine these tenets and ensure our decision meets them.

1. Highly Customizable

Everyone wants an avatar that is their own. We focus on giving people as many options as are reasonably possible. For this reason we have our livery technology so people can change colors and textures easily, and save different arrangements. We also endeavor to have several options for heads or other parts to create variety.

2. Easy to Use

Customizability is great, but if you can't figure out how the parts fit together, or how to use them, then it's not worth much. Also, we can provide everything, so easy tools and attachments that third parties can hook into are important. Providing 50 texture options doesn't help if you can't browse and apply them easily.

3. High Fidelity

We may live in an imperfect world, but that doesn't mean we can't strive for perfection regardless. Similar to the "make awesome" goal, we carefully weigh customization, ease of use, and quality when considering features and design decisions.
